Bitpanda To Launch Unified Ecosystem Token ‘Vision’

European crypto services provider ​Bitpanda, has announced the consolidation of its existing tokens—Bitpanda Ecosystem Token (BEST) and Pantos (PAN)—into a unified token named Vision (VSN). Updated April 7th 2025.

The company says the strategic move aims to streamline its user experience and enhance utility both within the Bitpanda ecosystem and across the broader Web3 landscape.​

Background on BEST and PAN

Launched in 2019, BEST has served as Bitpanda’s native token, offering user benefits like trading fee discounts and priority access to new features. Simultaneously, PAN was introduced as part of the Pantos project, focusing on enabling cross-blockchain token transfers and fostering interoperability among diverse blockchain networks. ​

According to Bitpanda, Vision will offer expanded utility, gamified DeFi rewards, and serve as a gas token within the Vision Protocol, supporting transaction fees and ecosystem interactions.

Token Utility Across Three Dimensions

The utility of VSN spans across three key dimensions:

• On the Bitpanda platform: VSN will deliver exclusive features enhancing the user experience.

• In the Bitpanda DeFi Wallet: It will act as the native token powering Web3 app participation and gamified onchain rewards.

• Across the broader onchain world: Designed to be interoperable VSN will bridge the Bitpanda ecosystem with the wider Web3 landscape.

The token will have a total supply of 4.2 billion VSN, with circulating supply details to be revealed closer to launch.

Conversion Rates and Migration Details

The reference period for migration pricing ended on March 25, and any price changes after that date will not impact conversion rates. Trading of BEST and PAN will be disabled before VSN goes live, and Bitpanda has promised ample notice before the official merge date. The final conversion rates have been set as follows. 

• 1 BEST = 4.91 VSN

• 1 PAN = 0.89 VSN

Governance and Decentralization

VSN will be governed independently by the newly established Vision Web3 Foundation, not Bitpanda. Token holders will participate in onchain governance, helping shape the long-term direction of the project.

As part of the transition, Bitpanda completed the 47th and final BEST token burn, destroying 4,052,096 tokens worth €2.44 million.
